Tourist visa to Brazil requirements

- Valid Passport

You must send us your physical passport. Your signed passport must be valid: the passport’s expiration date must be greater than six months from the date you plan on departing your country of destination. If your passport does not meet these requirements, you must renew your passport or obtain a new passport one prior to applying for your visa.

Passports must have at least 3 blank visa pages- amendment pages (clearly marked as such) at the back of your passport are not valid for visa issuance.

- Passport-Style Photographs

You must provide one passport photograph that meets Passport Photograph Regulations.
Your photographs must be full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background.

- Proof of Identity

A copy of valid driver’s license w/ photograph or State ID

Please note: School ID or Military ID not accepted

- Original Business Card

All business applicants must submit their business cards

- Brazilian Business Letter

A business letter of responsibility is required:

• The letter must be addressed to the Embassy of Brazil.
• The letter must explain the nature or purpose of business and the duration of the proposed business trip. The letter must state the name as well as the addresses of individuals, departments and organizations in Brazil you intend to visit.
• The letter must be on company letterhead and signed by senior management or superior informing responsiblity for the trip, if applicable

- Letter of Invitation from the Brazilian Company to be Visited

Letter or fax from the Brazilian company to be visited, on its company letterhead, signed by management in charge of the area/section/department which the applicant intends to be in contact, informing

• Position and job description of the person signing the letter or fax
• Details about the end-purpose of intended activities in Brazil (sales, purchases, technical information, coordination, training, supervision, auditing, etc)
• Places and dates of the meeting
• Financial responsibility for the trip, if applicable

- Please note:

• Multiple entry visas have validity of 5 years and a duration of stay of 90 days.
• Multiple entry visas are issued at the discretion of the Brazilian Consulate and can be denied without reason by the Brazilian Consulate.
